Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides eligible children in NSW between the age of 0-17yrs of age with access to a benefit of $1158.00 for dental services over a 2-calendar year period. (This is index yearly on the 1st of January).
The CDBS provides individuals benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealants, fillings, root canals and extractions. CDBS benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in hospital.
The CDBS continues to be means tested, which requires of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government Eligibility.
CDBS is available at Harrington Park Dental Care & Oran Park Dental Care, in accordance with eligibility and terms and conditions*.

Terms & Conditions
- Aged 0-17 yrs for at least one day of the Calander year
- Eligible for Medicare on the day of service
- Services will only be provided where clinically necessary and clinically appropriate for eligible patients.
- This benefit cannot be used in conjunction with any other Government scheme and is not substitutable or redeemable for cash.
- Eligible dental services are covered by the Commonwealth Government’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule when services are bulk billed by participating Dental Practitioners for treatments provided to eligible patients.

Fixed Price Dental Packages Check-ups*
(Non- Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme)
- Package 1 – 12 years and above will be eligible for the dental check-up and clean package of $195
- Package 2 – 11yrs old or under will be eligible the dental check-up and clean package of $110
INCLUDES: Examination, Scale and Clean, Fluoride, X-Rays and photographic records – intraoral.
