ClearCorrect

Are you looking for an alternative to straighten your teeth without having to wear metal braces?

ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system used to gradually straighten teeth and can be an alternative to traditional braces in suitable cases. It uses a series of custom-made, removable trays that gently move your teeth over time.

Because the aligners are transparent and fit closely to your teeth, they are less noticeable than metal braces. They can also be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing, which can make it easier to maintain your oral hygiene.

At Oran Park Dental Care & Harrington Park Dental Care, your dentist can assess whether ClearCorrect is appropriate for you, explain the treatment process, and discuss expected outcomes and costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

ClearCorrect aligners work by applying gentle pressure to your teeth, gradually moving them into the desired position. The aligners are made of a clear, flexible plastic material that is custom-made to fit your teeth and designed to be worn for 20-22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss.

ClearCorrect aligners are generally not painful, but some patients may experience discomfort or pressure during the first few days of wearing each new set of aligners. This is normal and should resolve on its own within a few days.

The length of ClearCorrect treatment varies from person to person, but most patients complete treatment in 12 to 18 months. The exact length of treatment will depend on the extent of your dental issues and your progress during treatment.

You will need to remove your ClearCorrect aligners to eat and drink anything other than water. It’s important to follow a strict oral hygiene routine and clean your aligners regularly to keep them in good condition and prevent any damage to your teeth or aligners.

Consultation: The first step is to schedule a consultation with us at Oran Park Dental Care & Harrington Park Dental Care. During this consultation, the practitioner will examine your teeth and discuss your goals for treatment. They will also determine if ClearCorrect is a good option for you based on the extent of your dental issues.

Impressions: If you decide that ClearCorrect is the right solution for you, the next step is to take impressions of your teeth. These impressions will be used to create a 3D model of your teeth that the ClearCorrect lab will use to create your custom aligners.

Treatment plan: The orthodontist or dentist will use the 3D model of your teeth to develop a treatment plan, which will outline the sequence of aligners you’ll need to wear and the expected duration of treatment.

Aligner creation: The ClearCorrect lab will create custom aligners based on the treatment plan and impressions. The aligners will be made of a clear, flexible plastic material that is designed to gradually move your teeth into the desired position.

Wearing aligners: Once you receive your aligners, you’ll wear each set for about two weeks before moving on to the next set. You should wear your aligners for 20-22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, brush, and floss. You’ll also need to attend regular check-ups with your orthodontist or dentist to monitor your progress.

Treatment completion: After wearing the final set of aligners, your treatment is complete, and you will have a beautifully straightened smile! Your orthodontist or dentist may recommend wearing a retainer to help maintain your new smile.

The length and success of treatment can vary from person to person, so it’s important to discuss your specific needs with us at Oran Park Dental Care & Harrington Park Dental Care to determine if ClearCorrect is right for you.
